This is a great series that everyone in my family loves. it's not new, and I haven't read it recently, but the new book by Brandon Mull just came out on Tuesday, so I have to get these out of the way. Kendra(13) and her Brother Seth(10), are forced to stay with their Grandparents who they hardly even know. The kids are given two rules: Stay out of the woods, because of ticks, and the barn, because of machinery. We always joke around here about how stupid Seth is at my house. thinking that it would be a cool adventure, the idiot goes exploring into the woods all the time, while Kendra stays in the attic. She finds keys, and a journal that the keys fit in that has only "drink the milk" written on one of the back pages. she drinks special milk, and suddenly, she can see fairies. The kids then learn that their grandparents are caretakers of a preserve for magical creatures. throughout the book, Seth acts stupidly, and always brings on misfortune to his family, and almost the preserve. Seth is a twit, and people say that he never learns his lesson, and has others clean up his messes. I'm one of those people for this book. Aside from the moronic Seth, this is a good book, and good series. It was worth my time, and it's probably worth yours.
