Fablehaven 5: Keys To The Demon Prison

Remember how stupid Seth was in the first book? Well, this makes him look intelligent back then. He is captured by the Sphinx, rescued, by a mystery person with another magical knapsack, the translocator, and the Sands of sanctity. When he transports himself to Fablehaven, he heals the Demon Graulas. BIG MISTAKE, SETH! When the attempted rescue party for Seth escapes captivity, they discover that a certain couple of people are still around. In this book, Kendra has some romance and some adventure. Seth has a few dangerous missions, and, although stupid, is quite clever. Kendra proves herself less pathetic at the end of the book, when she's done being a helpless lovestruck teenager. Lots of shocking news, Lots of Violence and deaths, and lots of magic. This book was worth alot of my time (big book), and It's worth yours, too.

Fablehaven 4: Secres of The Dragon Sanctuary

In this book, Kendra is kidnapped by the society, and replaced by a stingbulb, a fruit that pricks someone, and takes their shape, and memories. Seth actually helps by breaking the rules, something he's known for doing. When Kendra manages to escape, she returns to Fablehaven, where Seth has returned, thinking his sister was dead. The knights of the dawn rush to the dragon sanctuary, Wyrmroost. This book has more romance between Kendra and Gavin, but again, nothing serious. Although the ending is depressing, it leaves you wanting more, because the last line is the kind of thing you don't end a book with. There's a lot of action in these books, which I actually found boring, but too important to just skip. again, i found this book to be worth my time, and it's worth yours, too.

Fablehaven 3: the grip of the shadow Plague

In this part of the series, Kendra and Seth are still at Fablehaven when Kendra is recruited to the knights of the dawn, a society geared towards destroying the society of the evening star. while she is away, the fairies and other creatures start to change and become evil, and Seth turns to a new mentor. Kendra starts having a little bit of romance in this book, but nothing to serious. the end is upsetting, especially for Kendra, and oddly, Seth is gaining some intelligence. not to say that he's not still a worthless character, but he doesn't mess up as much, and he is smartly brave. this book is where the action really begins. i like this book, and it was worth my time, and if you find this intriguing, then it is worth yours too.

Fablehaven 2: Rise of The Evening Star

Here, at the end of the school year, Kendra doesn't need the magical milk to see creatures, and sees that the new student, who all her friends are crushing on, is a goblin-type thing. A man tricks the kids into thinking that he's a friend, and brings a curse on Seth. The kids are taken back to Fablehaven to stay with their grandparents, "while Grandpa's leg heels." they meet four more "friends," Coulter, Tanu, Vanessa, and later on, the Sphinx, an immortal "man" that is mysterious, and good. The children find out that Fablehaven is one of the five "secret" preserves, because it has more than just Satyrs, naiads, and ogres. The Society of the Evening Star that was mentioned in the first book is back, and trying to get the artifact off of the preserve. through this book, Seth becomes less of a frekishly stupid eleven year old boy, and more of just a moron. In the end, Seth saves the day, after learning of a traitor from the Society. Again, aside from his idiotness, (i don't care if that's a real word) Seth is my favorite Character, because Kendra's a wussy Loser, and this is one of my favorite book series. It was worth my time, and I think it's worth yours.

#1-Fablhaven book one- By Brandon Mull

This is a great series that everyone in my family loves. it's not new, and I haven't read it recently, but the new book by Brandon Mull just came out on Tuesday, so I have to get these out of the way. Kendra(13) and her Brother Seth(10), are forced to stay with their Grandparents who they hardly even know. The kids are given two rules: Stay out of the woods, because of ticks, and the barn, because of machinery. We always joke around here about how stupid Seth is at my house. thinking that it would be a cool adventure, the idiot goes exploring into the woods all the time, while Kendra stays in the attic. She finds keys, and a journal that the keys fit in that has only "drink the milk" written on one of the back pages. she drinks special milk, and suddenly, she can see fairies. The kids then learn that their grandparents are caretakers of a preserve for magical creatures. throughout the book, Seth acts stupidly, and always brings on misfortune to his family, and almost the preserve. Seth is a twit, and people say that he never learns his lesson, and has others clean up his messes. I'm one of those people for this book. Aside from the moronic Seth, this is a good book, and good series. It was worth my time, and it's probably worth yours.
